Notice
Notice is hereby given pursuant to Section 32-1-1001(2)(a), C.R.S., to the customers of the Cortez Sanitation District (“District”) and all other interested persons that the Board of Directors of the District shall consider increasing the District’s sewer rates at an open public meeting to be held during the regular Board meeting on November 9, 2026 starting at 5:30 P.M. at the District’s Office at 2908 S Broadway, Cortez.
Notice is further given that any interested party may appear at said time and place for the purpose of providing input, comments, or objections to the Board regarding this matter. Information regarding the possible rate increase may be obtained by calling the District Office at (970) 565-3962.

Board Candidate Self-Nomination Forms

Any eligible elector of the special district who desires to be a candidate for the office of special district director must file a self-nomination and acceptance form or letter with the designated election official.

Deadline for Self-Nomination Forms

Self-nomination and acceptance forms or letters must be filed not less than 67 days before the date of the regular election. For the next regular election, the deadline is 02/26/2027.
