The Special District Association maintains a full-time staff under the direction of Executive Director Ann Terry. The SDA staff manages the day-to-day operations of SDA, develops training and educational opportunities, provides technical assistance to members, produces informative publications and represents special districts before state agencies and the General Assembly.
At the direction of the Board of Directors, the Executive Director is responsible for the overall management and operation of the Special District Association and protection of the organization’s financial assets while ensuring compliance with board directives.
Deputy Executive Director oversees a variety of services and acts in the absence of the Executive Director and is responsible for implementation of strategic planning, organizational development, and program development.
Georgia coordinates member service; Legislative Committee meetings, SDA Annual Conference, Workshop registrations, distribution of publications, and manages SDA’s daily office operations.
Mary researches legislative and legal issues relating to special districts, develops training curriculum, provides technical assistance to members, and is a contributor to SDA publications.
Annie coordinates media relations, news releases, community outreach projects, media monitoring, and assists with SDA’s publications.
Andy manages accounting, financial data maintains SDA’s informational systems, human resources and benefits for the association.
