Update Transparency Notices and District’s Information on the SDA Website

Publication Date:
June, 2010

Now that the elections are over many districts have new board members and will need to update their Transparency Notice as well as their district record in the SDA database.

By updating your information via SDA’s website, your district’s data will be accurate and you and your district will receive useful publications and information on issues affecting special districts.

As required by statute all special districts will need to verify and/or update your district’s transparency notice information sometime within the 60 days prior to January 15, 2011.

How to...Update Transparency Notice Information

  1. Log in your account on the SDA website (www.sdaco.org).
  2. Go to the “Members” section.
  3. Click on the “SENATE BILL 09-087 Compliance” button on the right hand side of the page.
  4. There is a link under “Annual Notice to Electors of Special Districts” that will connect you to the login page for the Transparency Notice.
  5. At the bottom, select the “Login” link after “Already Registered?” rather than entering information in the     “Register Here” portion of the screen.
  6. Utilize the user name and password that you assigned for the Notice when you entered the district’s information and posted the Notice originally. (Note, this may be different from the login for your website account.)
  7. Log in and update your transparency notice records.

How to...Update SDA Database Information

  1. The primary contact on record for a district is the individual who is authorized to update the district’s membership record via the SDA website. This is typically the district manager or, for some districts, a member of the board.
  2. Log in your account on the SDA website (www.sdaco.org).
  3. Go to the “Members Section.”
  4. On the “Members Section” there is a list of the districts for which an individual is the primary contact.
  5. There is a link entitled, “Update Member Profile.”
  6. From the Membership Profile page, follow the links and update your district’s profile accordingly.
  7. Be sure to scroll all the way down to the bottom of the page and click “Submit My Profile for Verification” to save your updates to the SDA membership database.
