The 2010 Annual Conference is just around the corner and SDA has an exciting line up of speakers and activities for members and guests.
This year SDA has chosen to invest in our own Colorado talent by featuring several national speakers --- that just happen to be from Colorado. I know you will enjoy Ruby Legner Newell, find Tim Gard hilarious and for all of you Bronco fans, I think you will be even more impressed with Reggie Rivers as a motivational speaker than with his fame in the NFL.
I think there is something for everyone and especially for those of you who are new to special districts. This Conference will premier the SDA University; Wednesday’s all day sessions will offer classes for the new or newer special district board member or employee.
But don’t worry, Wednesday will also provide something for the experienced conference attendee. This year’s Conference highlights partnerships with Red Rocks Community College and Mountain States Employers Council, presenting programs on Workforce Development and Conflict Resolution.
For all of you golfers you won’t want to miss this year’s Donald Critchfiled Golf Tournament, Wednesday…18 holes of golf with Keystone Ranch Golf Course’s stunning views.
Our entertainment is a little more than the usual—it’s fun and exciting with dancing on Wednesday and a special program on Thursday…Dancing with the SDA Stars. You won’t want to miss a special performance featuring professional dancers leading us into a night of dancing like a star.
SDA is proud to be in its 35th year and to be able to offer you topics full of ideas including sessions on collaborating to get the best for your district.
SDA’s opposition to Amendments 60, 61 and Proposition 101 will be an important part of an informed discussion on the three ballot initiatives as well as, a CLE course on the potential legal impacts.
Each segment of SDA’s membership has received our attention in the planning of information and collaboration dissemination for the three days of the Conference. SDA’s Board of Director’s and staff hope that you’ll make time from your busy schedules to attend and take advantage of this wonderful learning experience and opportunity to network with your colleagues from around the state. I look forward to seeing you again!
