It is that time of year again to highlight the “Best of the Best” in Colorado Special Districts! Awards nomination forms for Distinguished Manager of the Year and Distinguished Board Member of the Year are now available on the SDA website, so start thinking about the important people in your district that deserve recognition for their hard work.

In addition to the Manager and Board Member of the Year awards, SDA has added a new award this year, the Collaboration Award. Special Districts have a long history of collaboration with local governments, and SDA recognizes the value of those successful working relationships.

New this year SDA will honor the district/representative with the 2010 Collaboration Award, the nomination form can be found on the SDA website.

These awards will be showcased at the SDA Annual Conference, being held September 22-24, 2010, in Keystone, Colorado. The recipients will be highlighted in an Awards Booklet distributed Thursday, September 23, with the actual presentation of the awards to the winners at the General Luncheon. Press releases will be sent to the winners’ local newspapers as well.

The nominations must be submitted no later than Monday, July 26, 2010.
