The Division of Local Government wants to encourage districts to file their annual budgets electronically.
Here are a few rules and tips to simplify the process for everyone involved:

• E-mail your budget to dlg-filing@state.co.us
• Budget must be in .pdf format
• Only one special district per e-mail
• Subject Line of e-mail must include District name, local government ID number (“LGID”) assigned to your district by DLG (Don’t know what that is?  You can look it up on the DLG’s List of Active Colorado Local Governments.  See http://www.dola.colorado.gov/dlg/local_governments/lgov_a.html) and the words “2010 Budget”
• Follow the naming convention established by DLG so they can save your budget over to their servers without having to rename it. For example, name your document:  Official_Name_of_District_(LGID)_2010_Budget.pdf (using underscores rather than spaces between)
