Webinar Powerpoint on 60, 61 and 101 Now Available Online

The Special District Association today joined with our partners The Colorado Municipal League, The Colorado Association of School Boards and Colorado Counties Inc. in hosting a webinar update on the campaign Don’t Hurt Colorado, opposing Amendments 60, 61 and Proposition 101.

Almost 200 people participated in the webinar. If you were unable to attend the webinar today, a recorded copy will be available on the SDA website next week.

A group of concerned citizens in Arapahoe County have created a tri-fold brochure explaining the devastating effects of 60, 61 and 101. This tri-fold was fact-checked with the Bell Policy Center and the League of Woman Voters.

Colorado Supports Rural Hospitals

Governor Ritter announced today that Colorado will opt out of a federal Medicare rule that requires physician supervision in rural hospitals for certified registered nurse anesthetists.

Colorado will join 15 other states in a move that will strengthen rural healthcare. Certified registered nurse anesthetists provide 70 percent of all anesthesia care in rural U.S. counties.

Fund Set Up for Firefighters Who Lost Their Homes in Fourmile Fire

The Boulder Canyon Firefighters Donation Fund has been set up at Guaranty Bank for the firefighters who lost their homes to the Fourmile Fire. Donations can be made at any Guaranty Bank branch.
