Designated Election Official Training on SDA Website

SDA Provides Designated Election Official Training Online for Your Convenience

The Board of Directors of a special district is authorized to appoint a Designated Election Official (DEO) to conduct the District’s election.  However, just what does that mean to you and your District?  Who trains the DEO on the responsibilities of that position?

SDA and the law firm of Collins Cockrel & Cole have teamed up to provide your District’s DEO with training to maintain the District’s compliance with the Colorado Uniform Election Code, Special District Act and the Secretary of State’s rules governing elections for special districts in Colorado.

Areas to be covered include:

  • Call for nominations and election cancellations
  • TABOR considerations
  • Mail ballot elections
  • Polling Place
  • Post Election

SDA and Collins Cockrel and Cole, PC have complied five training modules that are easily accessible through SDA’s website to be used at your convenience.
