Denver Water Manager Chips Barry was killed in an accident Sunday afternoon on his farm in Hawaii. Mr. Barry was the manager of Denver Water for 19 years, and had planned to retire this summer. During his tenure at Denver Water, Mr. Barry was very active in regional cooperative efforts to open up new relations and continual dialogue among water providers in Colorado.
“The Special District Association would like to offer our heartfelt condolences to the friends and family of Mr. Chips Barry. SDA appreciates his dedication to serving the public and protecting Colorado’s water resources,” said SDA Executive Director Ann Terry.
