At the first Annual 2010 Special District Association Board of Directors meeting, held February 26th, the Board selected its 2010 officers. The new SDA Board Officers are:
Board President- Mr. Patrick Mulhern (Southgate Metropolitan District)
Board Vice- President- Mr. Mark Whitney (Hyland Hill Park & Recreation District)
Board Treasurer- Mr. John McCaulley (Western Eagle County Metropolitan Recreation District)
Board Secretary- Mr. John Warnick (Tallgrass Metropolitan District)
SDA is governed by an eleven member Board of Directors. The Board of Directors establishes association policy and provides direction to the SDA staff. A board member of the association must be an elected board member of a special district, and no more than two board members may be from any one type of district. At least one director must come from each of the five geographical areas of Colorado.
The SDA Board of Directors is elected by SDA members at the Annual Conference every September. In addition to the board officers, the SDA Board has 7 Director positions. Those positions are currently filled by, Mr. Pete Webb (South Metro Fire Rescue), Mr. John Ballagh (Clifton Water District), Mr. Harold Thompson (Fountain Sanitation), Mr. Jack DeLange (San Juan Conservancy District), Mr. James Borland (Ft. Collins/Loveland Water District), Mr. James Walker (Alameda Water and Sanitation District) and Ms. Judy Rusk (Mountain View Fire Protection District).
