The 12th Annual Donald Critchfield Memorial Golf Tournament will begin with a shotgun start at 9:00 a.m. on Wednesday, September 22, 2010 at the beautiful Ranch Course at Keystone. Please check in by 8:30 a.m.
The tournament can only accept 136 participants, and as of 8/16/2010 32 people have already registered! To secure your spot in the tournament, select the golf option on your 2010 SDA Annual Conference Registration form found HERE.
The Ranch Course at Keystone winds through lodgepole pines, around sage meadows and across a nine-acre lake, this par-72 golf course features slight elevation changes and many bunkers. Designed by Robert Trent Jones, Jr., Keystone Ranch Golf Course follows the legendary links-style of a Scottish course on the front nine, while the back nine presents a traditional mountain valley layout.
Format: The format this year will be the same as last year. Golfers will be divided into two flights, one for inexperienced and leisure golfers, and one for those who are a little more serious about their game. Be sure to mark your preference on the Registration Form.
Duffer Flight: Higher handicap, or less serious golfers, will play a scramble format, where each player hits a tee shot. The team selects the best, then all golfers in the foursome hit from there, hitting from the best ball on each successive stroke until holed out. There is a single team score.
Top Gun Flight: Lower handicap, or more serious golfers, will play a modified scramble format. Each player hits drive, team selects the best and all play their own ball (within a club length) from that point to complete the hole. The two lowest scores are added to make the team score.
Prizes will be awarded in each flight to the winners.
