2010 Conference Spotlight: Health and Hospital Districts

The 2010 SDA Annual Conference will offer a special session for health and hospital districts on Friday, September 24, 2010 from 3:15-5:00pm. The session titled, Red Rocks Community College’s Physician Assistants Program and Health Care for Colorado Communities, will feature guest speaker Dr. John Witwer. This session will focus on how health and hospital districts can work with community colleges to fulfill staffing needs.

60, 61 and 101 Forum in Windsor

 SDA Executive Director Ann Terry joined representatives from the Colorado Association of School Boards and The Colorado Municipal League and CCI for an Elected Officials’ Forum discussing the effect of Amendments 60, 61 and Proposition 101 on local governments. The event was held in Windsor, CO.

More than 85 elected officials attended the event, and shared their commitment to educate voters in their communities about the dangers of these ballot issues.

Local elected officials are invited to attend an informational forum on the potential impact of the three November ballot initiatives on August 24th in Windsor, CO, and August 25th in Fort Morgan, CO

Both sessions will be held 5:30 pm-7:30 pm, and dinner will be provided at no charge to attendees.

The forum in Windsor on August 24th will be held at the Windsor-Severance Fire Protection District at 100 7th St.
